Job Summary
The Accounting Supervisor will oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. This role supervises two clerks and supports month-end close, reconciliations, reporting, and process improvement. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support AP and AR clerks, providing training, workload management, and performance feedback.
- Oversee full-cycle AP and AR processes, ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, and timely payments/collections.
- Review and approve invoices, payment batches, credit memos, and customer billing.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and aging reports.
- Assist with month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting support.
- Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Resolve vendor and customer account discrepancies professionally and promptly.
- Partner with operations and management on financial questions, reporting needs, and process improvements.
- Prepare reports such as AP aging, AR aging, cash flow, and other financial summaries as needed.
- Support annual audits and provide required documentation.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of accounting experience required
- Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred
- Strong understanding of AP, AR, and general accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software (ERP experience preferred) and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work onsite in Rialto, CA Monday-Friday
